Guardamar del Segura is around 12 km from Torrevieja and a 30km drive from both Alicante and Murcia airports. The area is renowned worldwide for its salt-lakes and therapeutic climate. The salt and mineral lakes, coupled with its abundance of pine forests, makes this one of the healthiest places in Europe in which to live. Torrevieja is a lively, but traditional, coastal town, with a pretty harbour, an abundance of shops, restaurants and bars, markets, and all manner of facilities and amenities. The beautiful blue flag beaches of the area run for 17kms from Guardamar to Torrevieja and have a boardwalk running adjacent. The golf courses of Villamartin, Campoamar and Las Ramblas are a short drive.
